The Dawa Dawa is gotten from locust beans when they are boiled and then left to ferment, they are popular with the Hausa tribe, and that’s where the name “Dawa Dawa” originated. It’s very rich in carbohydrates, protein, lipids, and calcium. They are used as local ingredients for soups in different parts of Africa.
